Tominah Talukdar, Senior Consultant

Thominah is mummy to three young (and very energetic) boys including twins, and a pet mama to her kitten, Eevee (yes named after a Pokémon!)

When she’s not working and trying to pair odd boy socks - Thominah enjoys spending time with her family, going on long walks, travelling and discovering new exotic recipes to recreate at home. Thominah is also a local Scouts volunteer and enjoys spending time teaching the young Squirrels essential life skills through fun and play.

Meet Thominah

Thominah is a Senior Consultant at Avyse. Thominah has over 15 years’ experience within the financial services industry, having worked at the Financial Ombudsman Service, banking, insurance and consulting sector. Today, Thominah’s role is focused on conduct related reviews across the industry with specific focus on the insurance sector and ethical financial services sector. Thominah is passionate about vulnerable customers and the provision of more accessible and fair financial services to those who struggle to access it most.

Experience:

  • Thominah has supported on a number of Skilled Person roles during her time in consulting from motor total loss in insurance reviews to affordability reviews in the high-cost credit sector.

  • Over the past few years Thominah has supported several firms across the industry with Consumer Duty implementation and assurance as well as customer journey mapping. Consequently, Thominah is well-attuned to the Regulator’s expectations in this space.

  • Thominah has supported several firms across the industry on vulnerable customer reviews, including reviews of VC implementation across businesses, designing and shaping VC frameworks and delivering training on vulnerable customers.
