Shaneca absolutely loves holidays and travelling. With her family residing in Florida, she often visits and enjoys the flexibility of working remotely from there. Despite being abroad, she seamlessly continues to work UK hours, ensuring minimal impact on her day-to-day responsibilities.

Outside of work hours, Shaneca is an avid gym enthusiast. She occasionally combines her love for fitness and travel by attending fitness retreats in Ibiza. Some suspect there's a bit more relaxing than working out involved!

Meet Shaneca

Shaneca is an experienced Consultant at Avyse Partners, who works within the compliance team. With nearly 15 years of experience in the financial services sector, she has worked with a variety of different financial service providers and completed several secondments within the FCA’s enforcement team. This diverse experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of different financial products and invaluable insights into regulatory expectations.

Experience:

  • Shaneca’s expertise spans across authorisations, compliance effectiveness reviews, KYC remediation and general advisory services.

  • She has also led and supported on several s166 reviews, examining the adequacy of various Firms’ governance, oversight and control frameworks.

  • While she operates in a generalist capacity, her sweet spot is Consumer Credit, in particular assisting firms with their creditworthiness assessments, arrears handling and forbearance practices.

  • Shaneca also has extensive experience in dispute resolution, having spent four years at the Financial Ombudsman Service dealing with various types of complaints. She has an excellent understanding of the rules and regulations governing these areas and their practical application.
