Meet Andrés

Andrés joined Avyse Partners as Principal, bringing 15 years’ experience across financial crime consulting and forensic investigations, gained at international advisory firms. He helps firms identify the root causes of issues and apply proportionate, tailored solutions that meet regulators’ expectations.

Andrés leads Skilled Person reviews and financial crime framework work. His background in forensic investigations gives him an evidence-led approach to regulatory reviews.

Was a key member of the team on a US Department of Justice-appointed monitorship of a global bank, working across EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
Began his career as a forensic accountant, conducting multiple investigations into fraud, bribery and corruption, and sanctions breaches. Is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds the ICA International Diploma in Financial Crime with Distinction.

Outside work, Andrés is usually in Brighton or on the South Downs, swimming in the sea, cycling with his son Leo and daughter Inés, or walking his whippet, Chica.

He is a keen drummer, playing a range of styles equally badly, and never turns down a good horror film.
