Oliver Grimes

Oliver founded Avyse after a number of years working in industry as well as other consulting businesses. He is of the opinion that regulatory consulting should add real commercial value to our clients as well as just reliable, compliant advice. Oliver oversees a number of our practices and is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of Avyse.

Representative experience:

• Oliver has been the skilled person a number times for banks and other financial institutions. This role also included observing and approving board decisions on behalf of regulators.

• Oliver has helped a number of commercial trade banks, commodity traders and brokers with AML, sanctions and bribery issues.

• Oliver has worked on a number of global corporate monitors and investigations on behalf of primarily US regulators, giving him insight into what cultural and governance issues drive most regulatory failures in global institutions.

• Oliver has led a number of financial crime focussed reviews of financial institutions for organisations based in every major financial centre as well as a number of offshore jurisdictions.
