Emma Croft, Senior Consultant
Emma is married to David (not David Brain) and has a teenage son called Bertie as well as two cats. She has recently taken up golf to keep up with her husband who is now retired and seems to spend most of his time on the golf course. Along with many others, she loves travelling and holidays and is looking forward to staying in some of those really nice golf places although is slightly fearful of making a fool of herself on the course!
Meet Emma
Emma has worked in compliance for the last 25 years and has lots of relevant experience across a variety of sectors and compliance disciplines. She has spent time working at the regulator, in house with compliance teams and as a consultant so has a great range of skills.
Emma works in the compliance practice as a senior consultant. At heart Emma is a bit of a compliance geek and she loves those nerdy questions. She has a really deep understanding of the handbook and regulatory expectations and is great giving practical guidance to clients.
Experience:
Emma has practical experience many different compliance disciplines including areas subject to system and control requirements such as governance, risk management and three lines of defence in addition to more specific conduct of business areas of the FCA Handbook.
She has worked on many different s166 projects across a wide variety of firms and sectors doing anything from running workstreams to stakeholder management and reporting.
As a technical specialist Emma can provide perimeter advice, particularly in the consumer finance sector, and really enjoys those difficult questions.
Emma has helped firms at all stages of their lifecycle ranging from authorisations for both firms and individuals right through to the sharp end when firms end up in trouble with the regulator.
